| Well, it's that time again. The time when I finally get around to updating. Mainly because I am currently out of my mind with boredom. So here I am, my husband has the only reasonably working car because he had to go to work. I meanwhile cannot even call anybody to hang out with me. Why you might ask can't I call anybody? Is my phone broken? Is it lost? No. My voice is gone. I can't talk. So I suppose I could call somebody, but all they would hear from my side of the line is something that sounds like a dying cat as I attempt to talk. :( On a more positive note. Seth and I ran a lockin last night for our youth at church, and I must say that I think it went reasonably well for a first attempt. We were pretty pleased anyway. We'll see what the parents have to say tomorrow. ;) No, seriously though, I think it went well. Ummm.... I guess thats it for now. Marriage still rocks. I highly recommend it.

| Ohhh classes, how I love thee..... shall I compare thee to a summers day? HECK NO!!! Summers days are the epitome of wonderful, and classes are..... well, they're classes. And as classes go, they aren't too bad, but they don't even hold a candle to summer! Is is bad that it's only been just over a week of classes and already I'm longing for summer? My classes really aren't bad at all this semester though. I don't think any of them are going to be incredibly hard, or massive amounts of work, so thats good. The one thing that really gets me though is that of the 21 classes that are major or professional education requirements for my degree exactly four of them actually focus on the middle school. Another five or six of them teach information that is actually useful to middle school teachers. The rest of the 21 classes are just thrown in there because the school doesn't have any more classes for middle school majors so they just throw us in w/elementary majors to make us have about the same number of classes as them! I've even confirmed this suspicion with one of the advisors for middle school majors. So basically, I'm wasting my time and money for all of these classes that have absolutely 0 meaning or use for me. Great. My favorite thing this semester is that I'm taking a class called Biology for Teachers. Now before I go on, let me preface this by noting that I am a middle school ed. major, with a minor in science. Now, right on the first page of the syllabus for this class it says "Edci 1320 is a course.... for elementary and non-science middle school teachers." That just makes me feel good. It is fun though. Every time I walk into one of those courses that doesn't really do me any good, and the teacher finds out that I am a middle school major, they feel like they have to justify why I'm in that class. It may be mean, but I actually get a kick out of them floundering around, looking for reasons why the material covered in the class somehow pertains to me. I think some of them actually feel guilty! (Hey, I don't blame them, I know it's not their fault.) Anywho, enough rambling on that subject. In other news, married life is still amazing! I love Seth soo much, and it is such a great feeling to know that now I really do get to spend the rest of my life with him! The apartment is finally starting to come together too! If you haven't seen it, or if you haven't seen it recently, you should drop by some time and see it. (And us!) It's hard to believe that Seth and I have only been married for just short of a month. It feels like it's been so much longer than that! (In a good way)
Random thought: So my itunes had upwards of 200 songs named track something. The other day when I got really bored I spent a good 3 or 4 hours listening to the songs and figuring out what the name was. I got about a hundred of them done!!! In the process I found out that I have some really good songs on there that I never knew I had.
Another Random Thought: The other day I went out and bought a new mouthpiece! It was really an act of desperation. I only have one mouthpiece, and now that marching band and concert band are going on at the same time, I have to switch it back and forth. That wouldn't be all that big a deal except I keep forgetting to switch it. So I get to band and I have a horn, but no mouthpiece. Well, the other day, I forgot it again, and it was the last straw. So I went out to central band to buy whatever they had in stock. (which tells you just how desperate I am!) I now have a mouthpiece that literally has no brand, and happens to be a 7! Ummm yeah, I'm playing on a 10 now, so it'll be interesting to say the least to see how this goes.
Yet another random thought: Thursday I went shooting with Seth and a couple of other people, and I got to shoot a shotgun. Up until then, I had only shot a pistol, and a little bit of rifle, neither of which I was all that good at. With the shotgun we were shooting clay pigeons, and I was actually pretty good at it!!! It was amazing! And I had a lot more fun. (I'm one of those people who doesn't have much fun doing things I'm not very good at.)
Ok, this post is waaaaay too long, so I will end with this sage advice: If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

| Ok, so I've had time to recover from the wedding and all the excitement surrounding it, so now it is finally time to update the ol' xanga. The wedding was FANTASTIC!!!!! Nothing went wrong on the wedding day, and I got six bajillion complements. (Which of course everybody gets on thier wedding day, but some of them at least were sincere.) Thank you to everybody who came and joined Seth and I on our special day. Having so many friends and family there to support us really meant a LOT to us both. And for those of you that helped..... THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.... you get the picture. Hopefully pretty soon here I'll have some pics that I can put up on facebook. The honeymoon was.... well, it was interesting. It's a long story, so if you really want to hear about it, let me know and I will tell you. The important thing is that in the end things did turn out alright, and Seth and I had a fantastic time. As for marriage itself....it is amazing. I truly hope that each and every one of you who reads this is as blessed as I am in your husbands, whenever it is that you get/got them. Married life is indeed treating me very well. The only down side is that there is SOOOOOOOO much stuff to find a place for. I think I might be done in about two years! Well, thats all from me for now. Love you all! Melody (Valet!!!)

| 22 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I am totally startin to friek out. Mostly it's good friek out, like in 22 days I am going to be Mrs Melody Ann Valet, and be on my honeymoon! I seriously can't believe it's all happening. It's all comming up so soon! Which is the bad part of the friek out. There is soooo much to do still, and its all comming up soooo soon! Ohhhh my gosh, I'm just like ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!! So happy, so worried, so overemotional, so ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That overemotional thing though, is seriously getting rediculous. Its just I'm soo stressed out, and I'm soo excited, and everything is happening at once.... I cry at anything. Seriously. Seth got a tooth pulled, I cried. Stupid huh? Ohhh well, c'est la vie.
So how is everybody else doing this summer? I need human contact, so everybody should reply and let me know! Love you all!!!! (from the future Mrs. Valet) ~Melody
